JEWETT RENOVATES FAÇADE OF SHOPPING PLAZA
November, 2006 - Jewett Construction recently completed renovations to the Raymond Plaza shopping center located at 15 Freetown Road in their hometown of Raymond, NH. The renovations included 500 LF of facelift to the façade of a strip mall including new roof gables and new Exterior Insulation Finishing System (EIFS). The plaza is home to the US Postal Service, Off-Price Furniture, Dollar Tree, Pawtuckaway Medical Center, Pizza By George, Pawtuckaway Eye Care and Ben Franklin/ACE Hardware.

The design was provided by Landry Architects and took two months to complete. Jewett's team was led by Project Manager Rob Secinaro and Superintendent Tim Holt, working closely with key subcontractors Commercial Insulators of Candia, NH; Northwind Electric of Barrington, NH; A.W. Therrien Roofing of Manchester, NH; and Complete Masonry of Amherst, NH.

JEWETT CONSTRUCTION BEGINS WORK ON NEW NORTHEAST CREDIT UNION BRANCH IN LEE, NH
October, 2006 - Jewett Construction of Raymond, N.H., recently began construction on a new branch facility for Northeast Credit Union on 146 Steppingstones Road/Intersection of Route 125 in Lee, NH. The one-story, 2,800 square foot facility will open in the spring of 2007 and will feature a drive-up ATM and four drive-up teller lanes. Groundbreaking ceremonies were held October 11, 2006.

All field employees at Jewett Construction have recently completed the OSHA 30 Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training Program as well as certified training for the operation of Hydraulic Construction Equipment. Training was provided by Contractors Risk Management at Jewett Construction's main office as well as on-site at random project locations. 

Jewett Construction recently broke ground on Team Nissan's new dealership on Keller Street in Manchester, NH. On September 11, 2006, steel erection was scheduled to begin. In light of it being the fifth anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, Mark Salvador, Jewett Construction's Project Superintendent on the site, held a moment of silence and raised a flag in honor of those who lost their lives that day and since in the war on terror. For Salvador, this anniversary has a profound impact on his life; on September 11, 2001 he was working on a construction project five blocks from the World Trade Center.

Manchester Mayor Frank Guinta joined Craig Jewett, President of Jewett Construction, Team Nissan Owners Vicki and John Marcinkevich and the rest of the construction team for a ceremonial flag raising on the first pieces of steel being erected at the site. This flag raising symbolizes the strength of New Hampshire's residents and small businesses to rebuild and move ahead toward a positive future.

On September 8th 2006, Jewett Construction Co., Inc. of Raymond, NH sponsored a Boy Scout Benefit Golf Tournament that brought in nearly $36,000 in receipts. This is a record for this tournament now in its 26th year. Jewett's ninth year as Tournament Sponsor brings the total of Jewett Construction's efforts at fundraising for this tournament to nearly $240,000.

Jewett Construction hosted a flag raising on May 26, 2006 to dedicate their new flagpole in honor of Memorial Day. The official flag raising was performed by Boy Scout Troop 100 and Cub Scout Pack 100 of Raymond, NH.

Jewett Construction recently donated over $2,000 worth of toys to Foss Motors' Katrina's Kids fund this winter (2005). Toys were given as Christmas gifts to children affected by hurricane Katrina.
