Jewett Celebrates Women in Construction Week

Every year for one week in March, the construction industry comes together to celebrate Women in Construction Week. The National Association of Women in Construction’s (NAWIC) event highlights women as a visible and vital component of the construction industry. NAWIC’s mission is to enhance the success of women in construction, and the week of recognition is also a time for the industry to raise awareness of the many opportunities available for women in the field.

Women make up 13.5% of Jewett Construction’s total workforce — higher than the national average of 9.9%. In fact, Jewett Construction saw a total increase of 66.7% in their female workforce from 2018 to 2019. Women hold positions in every part of our business, including executive leadership, accounting, and pre-construction.
