Jewett Construction Completes Historic Restoration in Salem, MA

(Salem, MA) Jewett Construction, a design-build construction management firm based in Raymond, NH, has completed a significant 24,000-square-foot historic restoration and three-story addition at 90 Washington Street in the heart of historic Salem, Massachusetts. The transformation involved the careful repair and modernization of a historic building, which now serves as a new annex for the City of Salem’s municipal offices.

The newly renovated facility features open concept office space on the second and third floors, offering a modern and collaborative work environment. On the ground level, a public meeting space has been incorporated to serve the community’s needs. A stunning curtain wall element in the new addition provides a visual focal point that merges sleek modern aesthetics with the architectural heritage of Salem.

The building was designed by Mark Meche of Winter Street Architects, a Salem-based architecture firm known for thoughtful and contextually sensitive designs.
